Pinakol (Beaded Necklace)
A long, broad and multi-stranded necklace worn by the Rungus race of Sabah. Patterns relate to ancient myths and contain human figures.
Traditional Bajau Parang (Traditional Bajau Machete)
The parang is still made according to traditional ways. Some parangs may have patterns carved onto the side of the metal. Use as a weapon in the olden days, the parang now merely acts as a decorative item.
Lipa-Lipa
It is a miniature Bajau sailboat carved from wood. The elaborate designs are based on plant motifs.
Sumpitan
A Murut blowpipe, amde of bamboo or hardwood.
Tajau
A type of ancient Chinese jar used for various purposes including fermentation processes in the olden days. The jars came in large size for burying the dead.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
Gong Ensembles
Gong is a type of indiophones mostly found amongst the Kadazandusun and Murut culture. It is made of brass or bronze and produces a muffled sound of deep tone.
Sompoton
Unique to the Dusun and Murut communities of Sabah, Sompoton is a pipe instrument made of several pieces of bamboo inserted into a ground.
DANCE
Sumazau
A soft and elegant dance of the Kadazandusun, the steps imitates the movement of birds in flight.
Magunatip
The dance belongs to the Muruts and uses bamboos as props. Dancers jump between fast clapping bamboos without getting trapped.
GEOGRAPHY
Mount Kinabalu
One of the highest mountains in the Southeast Asian region, surrounded by serene rainforest and harbours unique and rare species of plants and herbs.
MUST TRY
Ambuyat
A gluely 'porridge' with sago starch. It is eaten using a pair of chopsticks, (traditionally cut from the rib of the palm), by twirling it up into a sticky mass, which is dipped in a flavoured sauce.
Hinava
Raw fish salad, a delicacy of the Kadazandusun.
Bambangan
A type of wild mango with brown skin and pungent smell. It can be eaten fresh or pickled.
Tapai
Rice wine used in many celebrations or consumed daily by some.
