ARCHITECTURE
Terengganu House
Made of cengal wood, the traditional Terengganu Malay house has Siamese, Cambodian and Indonesian features. The roof is covered with Singhorra tiles and it has beautiful woocarving of floral patterns and Islamic elements.
MUST TRY
Nasi Dagang
A dish containing mixture of common and glutinous rice cooked in coconut milk and eaten with spicy tuna fish curry and tangy vegetable pickles.
Keropok Lekor and Kerepok Keping
Both are made of ground fish meat, mixed with sago. Keropok Lekor has a chewy texture, almost resembling a sausage, while Keropok Keping is a crunchy version. Both are best eaten hot, dipped in chili sauce.
Pulut Lepa
Barbecued snack of glutinous rice and fish wrapped in banana leaf.
Onde Onde
Fluffy in texture, this delicacy contains grated nuts as fillings.
